On the Menu: Personal Cybersecurity Training

Take charge of cybersecurity on your personal devices and networks to keep your data safe.

Learn details about the cybersecurity risks we’re all facing day to day. Equip yourself to evaluate your personal exposure to these risks and apply strategies to mitigate the highest potential threats.

Along the way you’ll find out why “strong passwords” (8 characters plus a symbol, numbers and capitals) are no longer recommended or considered secure, what “Simjacking” is and how it could impact you, and a simple method to ensure you’ll never need to write down passwords again.

In an effort to keep this event accessible, we will be offering a hybrid experience for participants. When checking out, be mindful to select between an “In-Person Ticket” and a “Zoom Ticket”. For those attending in person, we will be providing a safe, sanitized space. For those not located in NC or remaining cautious, we welcome you to join us over zoom.

Our Session Leader

Jeff Torello is a seasoned technology professional who is passionate about software engineering, cybersecurity, team development and team culture. He has more than 25 years of IT systems management, software development and cybersecurity expertise.

Mr. Torello has a wealth of experience in establishing, leading and growing modern, high-performing teams. Before joining CertiPath in 2018, he spent two decades at Intel Corporation and then at Cree, Inc. (now known as Wolfspeed). He recently published his first book, Crash Course – Leadership in a Remote First World, which provides strategies for leveraging soft skills and business acumen, applicable to any industry.

What’s On The Menu?

At Frontier RTP, we are constantly growing, and hope you will come along for the ride! We developed On the Menu as a way of helping you and your business grow to the next level, whatever that next level may be.

Each month, we offer a lunchtime workshop on a special topic related to small businesses or startups. On the Menu is taught by a diverse group of experts from around the Triangle (some of whom started their business here at Frontier RTP!) in a small group setting.

Our hope is that these workshops will not only be rich in content, but spark dialogue, start relationships, and make your lunch break meaningful. Did we mention there will be food? For those joining us in-person, there will be a free lunch available. If you are joining us virtually, we invite you to bring your lunch to the Zoom. No shame in eating with your camera on!
