If you’ve ever heard the laughter of children around The Frontier, or seen kids traipsing around outside, chances are they’re part of a CraZBrain STEM Trackout Camp. Located on the 4th floor of The Frontier, CraZBrain has been located in the building since before it was officially opened. Aaron Rothrock, founder of the camp, originally started the company as a way to have something to do over the summer while he was a teacher at Cary Academy.

What started as a summer job has turned into a passion for Rothrock. CraZBrain is unique in that it reinforces classroom teachings through creative and out-of-the-box activities. Campers are given a problem to solve, the tools to overcome it, and no directions on how to do so. Think remote controlled cars and imaginative contraptions. Rothrock’s creative approach to learning makes canoeing and crafts seem boring.
