*VIRTUAL* RTPfit | Meditation
If we learned anything from quarantine, it is the importance of staying present and well. Since we cannot practice together in the hammocks on campus just yet, we have decided to take our May Meditation sessions virtual.
Each Thursday from 11:45 a.m to 12:15 p.m., take just 30 minutes to check in with yourself at RTPfit Meditation. We are pleased to be able to continue this program, led by Haven E. Carter, on Zoom this month.
Join us this week as we explore the topic of Stress Reduction. Paying attention to your breath reduces your blood pressure, calm your nervous system, and lower your heart rate. Noticing your breath and body sensations brings you into the present moment thus, easing anxiety.
As always, these events are free to attend and are open to anyone in the Triangle. Be sure to have a mat or towel and a quiet place to enjoy this session.
