*VIRTUAL* RTP180: Taboo

JULY’S RTP180 TOPIC | TABOO

PRESENTED BY RTI INTERNATIONAL

Taboo: noun (/taˈbo͞o/) “Off-limits for discussion.”

Death, sex, addiction, racial injustice, gender. These are just some of the topics that our society considers “taboo.” But, being uncomfortable shouldn’t mean that something is off-limits or silenced … Right?

Join us July 16 to hear perspectives from five regional experts on different taboo subjects. After each five-minute presentation, we will open it up to the audience for questions and dialogue.

Our team has been working behind the scenes to continue to bring you RTP180 in the comfort of your homes. This mission of this event, telling the stories of innovations and talent in this region, remains as important as ever, and the show must go on. This month you can join us via Zoom’s webinar feature. The first 100 folks to RSVP will receive a followup email with the Zoom link and password to participate in the session. If you are unable to secure a virtual ticket, never fear! We will be live-streaming this event on our Facebook Page.

About RTP180

Innovation. Education. Industry. These are powerful angles—and what Research Triangle Park is known for. At RTP180, speakers from our three founding universities, Park companies, and the community-at-large are called upon to take the stage to speak passionately about what matters to them. The twist? They must do it in 5 minutes or less!

Virtual doors open at 5:30 p.m. for the preshow slides. Show kicks off at 6:00pm, sharp.
