Post COVID-19 Cities: A More Inclusive Future
Guest Speaker: Urbanist Richard Florida

While the COVID-19 pandemic and recent racial justice protests across the globe have challenged our cities, we have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create more equitable, inclusive communities for the future. Richard Florida, University Professor at University of Toronto’s School of Cities and Rotman School of Management, will explore the potential inherent risk in rebuilding and outline his views on the future of cities.

Florida is one of the world’s leading urbanists. He is a researcher and professor, serving as University Professor at University of Toronto’s School of Cities and Rotman School of Management, and a Distinguished Fellow at NYU’s Schack School of Real Estate, and Co-Founder and Senior Editor, The Atlantic City Lab. A writer and journalist as well, he has penned several global best sellers, including the award-winning The Rise of the Creative Class and his most recent book, The New Urban Crisis. He is co-founder of CityLab, the leading publication devoted to cities and urbanism, and founder of the Creative Class Group, which works closely with companies and governments worldwide.
