On the Menu: Automate, Eliminate & Delegate

On the Menu: Automate, Eliminate and Delegate

Interested in working smarter, not harder? Ready to implement strategies and systems that lighten your workload? In this session, we will review tips and tools that will allow you to:

  • automate the tasks you can
  • find ways to say “no” to things you can eliminate
  • determine ways to utilize freelancers and ad hoc staffing to delegate tasks that clutter up your day

By the end of the session, you’ll be equipped to create solutions that free up space for you to do your best work.

In an effort to keep this event accessible, we will be offering a hybrid experience for participants. When checking out, be mindful to select between an “In-Person Ticket” and a “Zoom Ticket”. For those attending in person, we will be providing a safe, sanitized space. For those not located in NC or remaining cautious, we welcome you to join us over zoom.

Our Session Leaders

Maari Casey is an ad-agency art director turned freelancer turned entrepreneur. After leaving the full-time agency space she set-out into freelance only to discover a void between the quickly growing talent pool of freelance consultants and clients looking to connect with this resource. In 2015, Maari launched Uncompany to bridge this gap—and help freelancers get paid what they’re worth. Uncompany connects agencies, brands and startups with top creative and marketing freelancers, offering an alternative to traditional agencies and direct access to the freelance workforce.

John Pelphrey designs tools and systems that keep employees and customers engaged. He got his start making process improvements for big pharma before getting into technology, and later the agency world. At Uncompany, John is building an operating system to make freelance work more workable. He’s never seen a puzzle he didn’t want to solve, or a skill he didn’t want to learn.

What’s On The Menu?

At Frontier RTP, we are constantly growing, and hope you will come along for the ride! We developed On the Menu as a way of helping you and your business grow to the next level, whatever that next level may be.

Each month, we offer a lunchtime workshop on a special topic related to small businesses or startups. On the Menu is taught by a diverse group of experts from around the Triangle (some of whom started their business here at Frontier RTP!) in a small group setting.

Our hope is that these workshops will not only be rich in content, but spark dialogue, start relationships, and make your lunch break meaningful. Did we mention there will be food? For those joining us in-person, there will be a free lunch available. If you are joining us virtually, we invite you to bring your lunch to the Zoom. No shame in eating with your camera on!

We want you to easily access our events and webinars. Feel free to reach out to us with accommodation requests at and we’ll do our best to facilitate.
