On the Menu: 5 Things You Aren’t Talking About in Your Marketing, But Should
If you’ve rewritten your bio more times than you can count and it’s still not quite right — this session is for you.
Not because your marketing is broken. Because your expertise is stronger than the language describing it. You’re already doing remarkable work. Your clients are very happy. But somewhere between that and your website, your LinkedIn, your elevator pitch — something gets lost. And the clients who would have been a perfect fit? They couldn’t quite find you.
In this session, Beth Hess, brand language strategist and author of Already Amazing, walks you through five elements already inside you that your ideal clients are actively looking for — and almost certainly not finding in your current marketing. This isn’t about more content or a bigger budget. It’s about saying the thing that makes the right person stop and think: that’s exactly who I need.
What Will Be Covered.
- Why your ideal clients can’t find you — and why the invisibility goes both ways
- The five elements of your Amazingness and how each one functions as a marketing signal
- Why what feels effortless to you is often the most valuable thing you’re not saying
- How to move your marketing from explaining what you do to declaring who you are
- What changes when your language is finally accurate
Key Questions Addressed
- Why does my marketing feel like it’s reaching everyone except the right people?
- What makes me different — and how do I actually say it without sounding like everyone else?
- Why do I keep attracting clients who are almost the right fit, but not quite?
- How do I talk about myself without feeling like I’m bragging?
Skills Attendees Will Sharpen
- Identifying the “only-you” signals hiding in plain sight in their own expertise
- Translating what feels effortless into language their ideal clients recognize immediately
- Moving from broadly appealing to specifically magnetic
- Recognizing where their current marketing is diluting their real value

Her clients stop explaining themselves and start being recognized.
What’s On The Menu?
At Frontier RTP, we are constantly growing, and hope you will come along for the ride! We developed On the Menu as a way of helping you and your business grow to the next level, whatever that next level may be.
Each month, we offer a lunchtime workshop on a special topic related to small businesses or startups. On the Menu is taught by a diverse group of experts from around the Triangle (some of whom started their business here at Frontier RTP!) in a small group setting.
Our hope is that these workshops will not only be rich in content, but spark dialogue, start relationships, and make your lunch break meaningful. Did we mention there will be food? For those joining us in-person, there will be a free lunch available. If you are joining us virtually, we invite you to bring your lunch to the Zoom. No shame in eating with your camera on!
We want you to easily access our events and webinars. Please reach out to us with accommodation requests at programming@rtp.org and we’ll do our best to facilitate.
