Cruise Thru with Boxyard RTP
Good news: you don’t have to wait until the fall to enjoy a night out with Boxyard RTP!
Friday, June 12 from 5:00-9:00 P.M. join us on the Frontier RTP campus for a Cruise Thru. Eight Boxyard RTP businesses will be onsite to sell their goods, food, and beverages (everything you need to get your weekend started). The best part? You don’t have to leave your car!
First 40 people to show up will get some Boxyard RTP swag! Be sure to roll down your windows, get your goods, and sing along with our live band as you “cruise thru!”

Participating Businesses
Blossom and Bone | PRE-ORDERS HAVE CLOSED, but additional orders will be taken at the event | Small ($30); Medium ($45); Large ($60); Extra Large ($75) bouquets are available that can be made on the spot tonight from their flower truck, Buli. Heather is also able to customize any bouquet based on a particular price point or style.
Bulkogi | menu | pre-orders available, but not required, through Streetfinder | The Bulkogi food truck will be onsite serving up customizable Korean bowls. Order ahead of time or on the spot.
Buzzy Bakes | PRE-ORDERS HAVE CLOSED, but additional orders will be taken at the event | Carrie will be bringing along the cupcake trailer and selling grab and go packs.
Fullsteam Brewery | menu | Come by, say hey to Brandon, and stock up on some beer for sale by the can for offsite consumption.
Lawrence Barbecue | menu | PRE-ORDERS HAVE CLOSED, but additional orders will be taken at the event | Jake, his crew, and their smoker “Lorriane” will arrive in the early hours of the morning to get their meats rolling. If you are interested in something by the pound, be sure to place a pre-order.
Wonderpuff | SOLD OUT!!! | Those who pre-ordered on 6/7 are able to pickup their orders at the Cruise Thru | Jackie and her sparkly personality will be bringing freshly spun vegan cotton candy. You must have placed an order on 6/7 to get your hands on some sugar.
CJ Baker Band | A Durham based five-piece band that will be bringing the jams.

Q | What is a “Cruise Thru”?
A| A Cruise Thru is an event that enables visitors to (safely!) celebrate small businesses. During this time of continued social distancing, we wanted to provide a safe environment for our growing community to experience just a sliver of what Boxyard RTP will have to offer in Fall 2020. So hop in your car, grab your roommate or partner, and cruise on thru to shop and dine with some local faves! Almost like a normal Friday night, right?
Q | Do I need to pre-order?
A | Some vendors are providing pre-ordering for your convenience. Pre-ordering is the best way to ensure that the meal/beverages/goods you had in mind will be there when you arrive. But, you do not have to pre-order to participate in the Cruise Thru. All our vendors will be prepared for all our drive up, on-the-spot customers!
Q | Are masks required?
A | Yes, masks are required. All participating business owners and Boxyard RTP staff will be wearing masks, and we ask that once you enter the Cruise Thru, you wear yours too. If you are not wearing a mask, it is at the discretion of each business owner to refuse service. We just want to keep everyone we love safe, and that includes you!
Q | What if I do not want to buy from every vendor?
A | Totally understandable! That is why we are providing you a map ahead of time. Keep scrolling to the bottom of this post and chart your course. When you arrive at the Cruise Thru entrance, a Boxyard RTP staff member will be there to greet you and help you get your bearings. If there is a vendor you do not want to visit, you can pass them on the right and continue on until you find someone you want to buy from. **Keep in mind, if you purchase from 3 or more vendors during the Cruise Thru, you will be entered to win a bundle of gift cards from Carrburritos, Game On Escapes & More and LivingFit!
Q | I plan to purchase from at least 3 vendors, how do I enter the raffle?
A | At the end of the course a Boxyard RTP staff member will be waiting to take down your information. We will be announcing the winner on Instagram the next morning, so keep an eye out!
Q | Will there be building or restroom access?
A | No, there will not be building or restroom access. For the safety of everyone, please please please stay in your car! We have designed this course for an evening of convenience AND safety. We will have a designated area for you to park and enjoy your purchases (with the exception of alcohol, which may not be consumed onsite in your vehicle). We ask that if you opt to do this, you take your trash with you.
Q | How long will the lines be?
A | This is our first time hosting a pop-up like this. If there is a line, we appreciate your patience while waiting, and recommend queuing up a podcast, having a dance party in the car, or calling that relative you have been meaning to catch up with while you wait. We also recommend arriving early to ensure your favorites still have everything in stock. Once these vendors sell out, they are o-u-t. We will update you on sell-outs during the event through our Instagram account, @boxyardrtp.
