We enjoyed hosting so many fun pop-ups at The Frontier in 2017. Here’s a look back at my five favorites:
1. Headshot Events with Lindsay Aikman Photography

After hearing from our community that this was something they would like to see at The Frontier, we teamed up with Triangle photographer Lindsay Aikman and offered headshot appointments in the Atrium on March 8th. We received great feedback and look forward to hosting another headshot session in 2018!
2. Pop-up Wine & Mead Tastings
In May, we welcomed warmer temperatures by showing some love to North Carolina-made wines and meads. Our community really enjoyed hearing from Honeygirl Meadery about the process in which mead is made (say that 5 times fast) and hearing from the woman behind it all.
3. Pop-up Cycle Class with CycleBar Alston

Back in May, we partnered with a new gym in town, Cyclebar Alston, to bring a free cycling class to our community. The original plan was for the class to be held outside, but the weather did not cooperate. So, in true pop-up fashion, we moved the bikes into the Atrium. The music was bumpin’ and the participants were sweatin’!
4. Pop-up Celebrating National Chocolate Day
We love a good holiday, so we knew we could not let National Chocolate Day go by without a proper celebration. We brought out a chocolate fountain and had a good ol’ midday fondue party! Who knew so many things go well with chocolate? Potato chips anyone?
5. Eclipse Viewing Party

Like the rest of the United States, we had Eclipse Fever at The Frontier! In terms of turnout, we weren’t sure what to expect. We stocked up on viewing glasses, Sunkist, Starbursts and Moonpies, set up a tent…and waited.
We were overcome at just how many people came out to our little lawn party. Throughout the 1.5 hour event, we had over a 100 people stop by to take a look at the sun, interact with their coworkers, and enjoy a snack.
