SUMMARY:On the Menu: Pruning & Planting: Designing Your Next Chapter
DESCRIPTION:To finish off the first quarter, On the Menu is welcoming Emilie Smith, Founder of the SET Collaborative, for a powerful session designed to help you identify your next right chapter.\nIn honor of Women’s History Month, this special edition of On the Menu explores the qualities of feminine leadership — a human-centered approach to leadership, decision-making, and business growth that benefits all of us, regardless of gender.\nHere’s how it works.\nRather than focusing on individual leaders, this workshop highlights feminine leadership qualities such as discernment, relational intelligence, emotional awareness, intuition, creativity, timing, and care — capacities especially valuable for entrepreneurs navigating uncertainty, complexity, and constant change.\nThis workshop invites participants to pause and reflect on what is ready to be released and what is ready to grow within their business, leadership, and life. Instead of pushing harder or moving faster, attendees will engage in reflective and practical exercises that strengthen clarity, agency, and intentional decision-making.\nThrough guided reflection, light dialogue, and life-design activities, participants will identify one meaningful “next right chapter” and leave with grounded momentum and a clear, actionable step forward.\nThis session is open to all genders and welcomes anyone interested in leadership that is thoughtful, sustainable, and rooted in human dignity.\nParticipants will:\n\nExplore feminine leadership qualities as tools for clarity, strength, and effectiveness\nReflect on what to prune and what to plant for next-level growth\nIdentify one intentional next step aligned with their values and capacity\nLeave with renewed agency and a practical path forward\n\nDue to the nature of this event, it will be hosted exclusively in person. We encourage all participants to join us on-site to fully engage with the experience.\nGame Plan\n11:30 a.m. | In-Person | Registration opens and lunch is available \n12:00 p.m. | Event begins\n1:00 p.m. | Go on back to work!\nOur Session Leader\nEmilie Smith ( https://www.linkedin.com/in/emilie-smith-a8694a55/ )\nFounder, the SET collaborative ( https://www.thesetcollaborative.com/ )\nEmilie Smith is a passionate, down-to-earth, and endlessly curious leader and coach transforming workplaces into thriving communities where people feel inspired to do their life’s best work. We developed On the Menu as a way of helping you and your business grow to the next level, whatever that next level may be.\nEach month, we offer a lunchtime workshop on a special topic related to small businesses or startups. On the Menu is taught by a diverse group of experts from around the Triangle (some of whom started their business here at Frontier RTP!) in a small group setting. \nOur hope is that these workshops will not only be rich in content, but spark dialogue, start relationships, and make your lunch break meaningful. Did we mention there will be food? For those joining us in-person, there will be a free lunch available. If you are joining us virtually, we invite you to bring your lunch to the Zoom. No shame in eating with your camera on!\nWe want you to easily access our events and webinars. Please reach out to us with accommodation requests at programming@rtp.org ( mailto:programming@rtp.org ) and we’ll do our best to facilitate.\n\n \n \n \n \n \nNote: By registering and participating in this event, you consent to the recording of your likeness, image, and/or voice and authorize Frontier RTP to use photographs, video, and audio recordings containing your likeness, image, and/or voice in any medium for any purpose.\n
