DESCRIPTION:What are OOO Meetups? \nAt Frontier RTP, we are constantly growing and making connections. We developed OOO Meetups as a way of helping connect like-minded professionals, entrepreneurs, and industry insiders during our regular, weekly Out of Office “OOO” events.\n\nWith each meetup, we work with a co-host to facilitate the networking and educational session while we pour the drinks. \nOur hope is that the meetups will spark dialogue, start relationships, and make your happy hour meaningful. This meetup, co-hosted by International Game Developers Association NC-Triangle Chapter, is for you! Wages are diminishing, hours are lengthening, and burn out is growing. But we don’t have to suffer. Video game unions are on the rise to help ensure that workers get a fair seat at the table. Join us as we discuss how unions work, the challenges of unions in the video game industry, and what can be done moving forward.\nOur Session Leader\n\nSession Leader: Will Sutherland\nWill Sutherland is a 9 year veteran of the game industry, and has worked at a wide variety of places, from Epic Games to small, indie studios.
