SUMMARY:RTP180: Color
DESCRIPTION:About RTP180\nInnovation. Education. Industry. These are powerful angles—and what Research Triangle Park is known for. At RTP180, speakers from our founding Universities, Park companies and the North Carolina community at-large, are called upon to speak passionately and authentically about what matters to them. The twist? They must do it in 5 minutes or less! \nWe ask our speakers to be intentional with their 300 seconds on stage. What perspective of their industry are they able to share? What are their passions? What would our community be surprised to learn? What case studies in North Carolina are cutting edge? \nThis Month\nThis month we are bringing in the experts to present their unique take on Color. Our speakers will share new research on the science of color, the way it impacts us, our environment and the economy, and the different industries that are built on color. Join us to learn about this fascinating topic.\nPrior to the start of the show, join us at 5:00 p.m. for refreshments and networking. You’ll want to be sure to check out the interactive black light anaglyph pop-up art exhibit with Iammappingth E Universe and a fascinating show-and-tell with the Museum of Life and Science where you will explore the role of color in nature. Like usual, we’ll have beer from Fullsteam RTP, wine selections from RTP Uncorked, but they’ll also be on hand to share insights into how certain ingredients change the color and taste of beer and wine.\n\nWhen you come early, we will have complimentary popcorn, beer from Fullsteam RTP, wine selections from RTP Uncorked, and spirit-free drinks.\nOur Experts\nDr. Tova N. Williams | North Carolina State University\nKayla Messier Jones | RTI Innovation Advisors\nEllen Divers | Ellen Divers Design\nAnne Wood | University of North Carolina-Greensboro\nDr. Massimo Iorizzo | Plants for Human Health Institute\nOur Game Plan\nDoors open at 5:00 p.m. for beer, wine, snacks and an interactive networking hour. \nThe show kicks off at 6:00 p.m. sharp in-person at 800 Park Offices Drive, RTP NC 27709.\nCan’t attend in-person? The event will be live streamed here beginning at 6:00p.m. Thursday, August 15, 2024. \nThe hashtag for this event is #RTP180.
